We are currently looking for a Consumer Insights Lead for an exciting opportunity in our international team at Nordisk Games. In this role, you will be responsible for kickstarting and building a new business unit – the Market Lab – in collaboration with our studios. You will develop the market research services that our studios and Nordisk Games need in order to create great games that our players love!

Our mission is to fund, support, and challenge creators of the most fantastic form of entertainment - games. Through various activities, we support our group of studios to create the best games in the world. The Market Lab will be part of our support functions offering insights and research services to our studios. We also have a User Research Lab. The purpose of our support functions is to help our studios become more market and data-informed and as a result enable them to make even better decisions, even greater games, and some great profits in the end.
Nordisk Games is part of Egmont/Nordisk Film, one of the largest media companies in the Nordics. Egmont is a foundation where part of the profits goes to supporting vulnerable children and youngsters as well as film talents, while the remaining profits are reinvested in developing the media group. Key responsibilities:
- Partner with our game studios to answer key business questions through consumer research
- Support Nordisk Games and our studios by clearly communicating strategic insights and help translating them into actionable plans
- Be responsible for defining research objectives, designing research activities, and developing learning plans to the studio teams
- Develop aset of services to our studios such as audience profiling, competitive analysis, revenue stream analysis, and IP analysis
- Track and share relevant market trends across Nordisk Games and our studios
- Developthe collective player intelligence by fostering gamer knowledge sharing within the entire organisation
- Manage relationships with external research agencies and leveraging external insights resources to best serve business requirements
- Recruit and manage a Market Research Analyst as well plan for team growth as the needs of the studios grow
- Develop relationships (both online and IRL) by sharing insights and give presentations

Requirements
- You know how to make sense of complex data and express them clearly and simplify for stakeholders of all levels
- You have a proven track record of delivering high level, actionable insights with clear recommendations that drive creative development
- You have excellent knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methodologies and techniques
- You have a curious and analytical mind, who enjoys uncovering insights and stories within data related to the gaming industry
- You have excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams
- Extensive experience commissioning and managing ad hoc qualitative and quantitative research projects
- Interest and passion for video games
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)

- Familiarity with various game genres and business models
- A good sense of business and entrepreneurial mindset
- Experience leading and motivating diverse teams
